Four Favorite Ski Season Resorts

The brutally hot 2020 summer here in Arizona forced both my AC units and me to beg for a break.  I don’t know about you, but I am ready to finally kick summer to the curb and look to higher (and cooler) ground.  Here are four of my favorite ski season resorts.

If you haven’t started yet, now is the time to start planning your ski vacation.  Ski resorts are expecting high demand this season and many will be operating with restricted capacity.

Whether you’re in search of a romantic winter honeymoon, a fun family reward for getting through yet another round of on-line learning, or a group of friends seeking an adventure that allows you to reconnect in person, a ski experience is the (lift) ticket to an exhilarating and fun-filled vacation.  Isn’t it time to start making some fun memories in 2020 or start planning them for 2021?

Here are several of my favorites that focus on luxury and tick all the boxes that may be important to you such as:  travel by car or plane, flexible cancellation policies, amazing Virtuoso amenities, activities to please everyone in your party, and private lodging options that promote social distancing.

Sundance Mountain Resort Provo

Robert Redford’s Sundance Mountain Resort has 110 cottages and offers easy access to downhill skiing, snowboarding, and cross-country skiing. The amazing cuisine and spa contribute to the diverse amenities of this quiet mountain village and resort.  The resort has gorgeous mountain homes accommodating up to 16 guests. Fun fact: Sundance’s trained avalanche dogs help the ski patrol locate avalanche victims buried in the snow.

Virtuoso Amenities include:

  • Upgrade (if available)
  • Two free ski passes per night
  • Daily Breakfast for two per bedroom
  • $100 Spa Credit

Montage Deer Valley Park City

Located atop Empire Pass with ski-in / ski-out access, this refined mountain craftsman resort is less than five minutes from Park City’s celebrated Main Street. Families and small groups will enjoy quality time in the 1-4 bedroom residences.  If skiing is just one of many interests, you’ll enjoy the spa sanctuary, inspired dining, and amazing year-round activities including hiking, biking, golf and fly-fishing.

Virtuoso Amenities include:

  • Upgrade (if available)
  • Daily Breakfast – $60 per bedroom
  • $100 Spa Credit

The Little Nell Aspen

Ski on the mountain before it opens to the public?  Learn to drive a snowcat and enjoy guided snowcat powder skiing?  Private tour and sommelier hosted dinner in the 25,000 bottle wine cellar?  If the answer is “yes” to any or all questions, you’ll enjoy this lovely 92-room luxury ski in/ski out resort.  Families love the residences.

Virtuoso Amenities include:

  • Upgrade (if available)
  • Daily Breakfast – $85 per bedroom
  • $100 Food & Beverage Credit

Madeline Hotel & Residences Telluride

Explore Telluride’s legendary terrain while skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, riding a fat-tire bike, or dogsledding through the scenic backcountry. More adventurous?  Try heli-skiing the San Juan’s. After all the adventure, pamper yourself with a massage followed by a night out at Black Iron Kitchen & Bar for award-winning cuisine and live music.  Private residences appeal to families and groups.

  • Upgrade (if available)
  • Daily Continental Breakfast
  • $100 Resort/Hotel Credit

These are but a few options.  When you’re ready to get out of the heat, I am just a phone call or email away!  [email protected] or 602-692-9379
